The Paoli
Wildcat Basketball League (PWBL) has decided to enter four "Select" boy's and
girl's teams in the Inter-County Basketball League (ICBA) for the 2011-2012
season.
The PWBL will
field the following teams:
10 year olds/5th
Grade (Born on or after August 1, 1999)
Grade Exception: A player who is in 5th
grade and born on or after August 1, 1998.
11 year olds/6th
Grade (Born on or after August 1, 1998)
Grade Exception: A player who is in 6th grade and born on or after
August 1, 1997.
12 year olds/7th
Grade (Born on or after August 1, 1997)
Grade Exception: A player who is in 7th grade and born on or after
August 1, 1996.
13 year olds/8th
Grade (Born on or after August 1, 1996)
Grade Exception: A player who is in 8th grade and born on or after
August 1, 1995.
Grade Exceptions: Each team is allowed a maximum of three grade
exception players. Players participating under the grade eligibility
exception must present a birth certificate and
confirmation of grade level from a school administrator.
The ICBA
will consist of a 12 game regular season, six games will be played at home and
six away. Generally, the away games are on weekends but there could be an
occasional week night away game.The
PWBL will attempt to schedule all weekday games at home to cut down on travel
time during the school week.The
season will start the week of December 13 and run
through February 20 with the playoffs beginning on February 24.
If your
child has a conflict between an intramural PWBL game and an ICBA game, the PWBL
intramural game takes priority. Your child is expected to attend all
games and practices if selected to this "select" team.If you do not think you can
commit to this "select" team schedule then please do not have your child
tryout.
Tryouts
for both the boys & girls (10, 11, and 12 yr olds) will take place on Sunday October 2 & Monday, October 3.Please consult
the PWBL website for tryout times. Coaches will be selected after tryouts
are completed. The fee for the "select" teams will be approximately
$125.00 per player and all home games will be played at Competitive
Edge Sports in King of Prussia, PA not the T/E Middle School.
